My young friend Mari, on the ship, was a bit miffed about all the money the sites that use their information generate, they buy new things, get lots, whilst the Taygete's get cut off from the federation allowance to buy supply's on earth. You may think being 440 light years away from home is an easy feat, especially when your here tending to security of your cousins who don't know too much about the regressive out here who abduct and just do with your family what they want. A supply ship does come and bring things from Taygete, but its oh so boring what they bring compared to what earth has, Earth has shit loads of great things because it has diversity, where the other worlds sort of make stuff and that's it, when the earth makes stuff they make a dozen more of the same thing, its blooming fantastic. So we get a bit frustrated.
