Probably my submissions are boring but
these songs come so randomly. I just wake up and the tunes are reverberating in my head as I wake up. This one made me beady eyed after hearing it as I opened them in the morning.
I asked myself "What are you trying to say?" and looked around myself with the contrast of reality to my dreams. I'm so puzzled about my own mind it made me cry in confusion. It hurt fucking bad. I don't often cry when waking up but this morning I felt like being born.
It felt like someone smiled upon me and I was bathed in sunlight.

"It's only a dream
I'd love to tell somebody about this dream

I've got everything Jimi ever recorded. Considering how much there is, and that he left us at the age of 28, he must of spent most of his time in the studio.

I recall the day I heard he was gone. I was in grade 6 at the time and I mentioned to my classmates that he had died. They did not know who I was talking about.

And of course, foul play was involved. He was taken from us...

I've learned to play many of his tunes, particularly "The Wind Cries Mary", "Angel" and "Castles Made of Sand". And everybody knows "Purple Haze" LOL

There is a recording of Jimi & Johnny Winter, who also was a great influence on my guitar playing.

Putting aside the surroundings of his death as you may know in astrology age 28-29 is considered an important time because Saturn orbits a full circle. I have a bit of unease because of it since I am expecting a shift in the outside and inside. I know it sounds egotistical to say the world revolves around me but for each their own world I guess. We sail our own ship wherever it goes. Maybe Jimi just didn't want to shift to his other "stage". It's been mythicised that his last live song was Voodoo Child, saying goodbye to everyone as he felt his time was coming. People sense that even if they don't decidedly do such.
Life is so weird.

Very nice choice Akos996 I esspecially love the lyrics and Jimi Hendrix is quite the legend and the cover art is interesting to me with all the hindu goddess and gods. Sounds like a unique amazing experience waking up with tunes playing within as you awake for your day. Perhaps dreams inspired it, maybe you keep track of your dreams not sure but might be a part? How wonderful to have that feeling at the end being bathed in sunlight sounded really lovely definitely hold on to that and cherish the experience just as it is. You sound very wise for almost 28 and just from reading all your post, I am 46 so LOL sometimes wish I had woken up a bit more in my 20's but I am thinking age is more a concept of the mind so probably doesn't really matter in the long run.

Yes it's beautiful in every way, the art and the lyrics. Reading around I saw Jimi described a dream he head in this song. He was such a poetic guy. Lovely stuff.

I could talk about it for hours about this weird feeling.
The weird sunshine feeling felt like a lingering haze of my dream still affecting me, the trans like state, then getting awake felt like landing face first on the ground. That feeling is the worst, realising I'm back to reality haha.
My wish was the same, to grab onto that feeling and cherish it but damn... getting an alarm clock blasting it out of me is not too pleasant.

Yes I have this weird tendency to have some words or sounds echo in my mind when I wake up. It feels like a thin thread I can connect to the higher planes for very short time and the language I learnt to speak to my peer was by music, because for such a short time I can hang on to a line of a song then look up the whole lyrics which tells a million more things.
Maybe I'm just delusional and completely lost it.  Just kidding, but the way I describe it feels weird.
I wish I had full telepathy to truly connect to the "peer". Maybe I can't handle it. Even a small glimpse of those strong emotions could break me down. You know like that scene in the Raiders of the Lost Ark when the germans had their face melt away when they opened the box. It felt like a lesson to me in mere seconds. Dreams are freaking confusing. And I forgot all of it. I always take notes but this one just wasn't compatible with "me", just left, filtered, gone. hmm

Yes, don't worry about age. It's whatever it flies away. I feel like a 1000 years old grumby old man and sometimes like an 8 year old. If it weren't for our outside looks it wouldn't matter really. Probably why star races don't even know their own birth date or keep track of their "age".
I have a hard time remembering any dates I hate "dating" things, placing events of my memory to dates, much to my shame when I keep forgetting everybodys birthday.

Thanks mes333, Tardisman for the intriguing conversation

Aerosmith was an excellent choice, amazing song. A healthy reminder for all of us to hold on to our dreams.

Very cool and I recently had a dream I was running from a tsunami and kept trying to get to higher ground though I had a sense there were other people there but I didn't see or notice anyone else and kept getting lost in the big city trying to find my way up high. In the end I just stopped running and then at the end of the dream the wave never materialized. Hmmm

I know there are lots of meaning just from that brief part I remember kind of cool to revisit them and ponder about them after writing and trying to understand the possible meanings or references. I have been a bit busy and haven't written them down lately. I sense my higher self might want me to do more of that so once life is less hectic again soon I will give it my best to try again.

Johnny was definitely drunk during that jam – LOL.

Despite that, you would not know by his guitar playing...

I remember the day Johnny Winter came into my life.

My parents and I were already in bed when my brother came home late with the “Johnny Winter And” album. He dropped the needle on the fourth track of the vinyl LP and played “Rock n Roll Hoochie Koo” with the volume cranked up.

I had only heard the first verse when my old man yelled “Turn It Off” – LOL

But that was all it took...

As soon as my parents left for work in the morning, I played that song as loud as the stereo would go, and couldn’t wait to get home from school to hear it again.

And that was the inspiration to learn to play guitar by ear, as it was the only way at the time. There were no instructions or song books for that kind of music.

Now, with being able to slow the music down while maintaining the same pitch with a computer, it makes it easy to learn lightening fast guitar riffs by Jimi & Johnny.

There are You Tube videos on how to play virtually every song.

It’s too easy - LOL

Johnny’s voice & character can be heard well on this track.

It’s all about SEX smile

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbDl97F8TKM

My time as a professional musician was short. After 4 months, I decided I was not going to work in a bar for the rest of my life.

So, I got back “under the truck” as a Heavy Duty Mechanic at the age of 28.

I became interested in Alternative Energy at the age of 34, and started with a replication of Troy Reed’s Magnetic Motor. The project involved learning to operate machine tools (lathe / milling) and making parts from scratch, which led me into other careers.

After a successful build of a Browns Gas Machine, I started looking at Stan Meyers Water Fuel Cell when he was still with us.

The technology appeared to be the “ultimate solution” to our energy needs, which inspired me to pick up a 1000 page book of math and study Electrical Engineering.

That knowledge eventually led me to designing and building Medical Grade Ozone equipment.

Damn what a story. I feel things mirrored in my life a bit. Although I still haven't got my lathe to work on and have different machines in mind. I know about Stan Meyer. Very famous.
By the 1000 page book you mean the "Art of Electronics"? That's a good one.
Good luck with your machines. Mail me any time if you are interested in free enrgy ideas. I don't have the machinist know-how but have some pretty cool notes.

"Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me"

Pink Floyd - Echoes (Space Odyssey edition smile ) I invite you all to a transcendental experience.

Edit: I got the #2001-st comment. Space odyssey anyone? I feel cool now cool but #2000 is cooler @Sssany
It cannot be the only one to think the "Dark Side of the Moon" and this song was written for Space Odyssey originally. I know it was released after the movie but who knows....
Supposedly they wrote scores for Kubrick and got canned. Too many coincidences and I don't believe in those...
