THE WAR IS NEVER FOUGHT OUT THERE

THE WAR IS NEVER FOUGHT OUT THERE

The "war is NEVER fought "out there". The conflict is always in the mind. If the mind is fragmented, in a constellation of contradictory thoughts, how can you not be at war if you have become war itself. Each thought you generate creates its opposite in a neurotic dichotomy and this extends and expresses itself to the mass, to the collectivity.  For if each individual is at war with themselves they will express and extend this into "the world" and add to the conflict that already exists between people. And if people are committed to fulfilling their neurotic desires this will place them in conflict with others whose neurotic desires compete with theirs.

This is a confrontation for each individual. It is not simply a problem for some government to solve. The responsibility is shared by all of us, individually and collectively. If you can seriously consider this, you will realize that you have no answer, that your answers are inadequate, and that you are not even sure what to do in your own life and thinking.

The inner conflict is of such a magnitude that clearly, everyone in the world, even the smallest child, is familiar with the suffering of the brokenness of living in a fragmented mind: This suffering has many dimensions that translates in many forms, physical pain, emotional pain, psychological pain but the genesis is always spiritual; it is the illusory separation from Source.

This has led people to war, seeking to oppose others whom they blame for their suffering; it has led to cruelty to others, to other races, religions, minorities etc. Trying to escape this suffering has taken many avenues, and will continue to take more elaborate forms of cruelty, anguish and terror.

Thus, in this condition of fragmentation it is not possible to escape from suffering altogether. Nor from fear. You cannot escape the tribulations of life and the reality of stress, because, to be sure, whatever you do there will be tribulation and stress.

You cannot live a life of perfect happiness, because that is not possible living in Separation, if you are honest with yourself. And if you think you can, then you are not being honest with yourself. You are not being emotionally honest with yourself.
Even the few who can reach the pinnacle of enlightenment in this world must return to serve, face the suffering of the world and try to alleviate it in positive and constructive ways.

Therefore, it is imperative to have a correct view of suffering as it is of critical importance. That is why what creates suffering at its base is living in Separation. However, beyond this base there are emanations of suffering on many other levels.

You now face the suffering generated by living in Separation itself. Even if you are protected from most of the dangers of the world, and obviously you will never be completely protected while you live here, suffering can be a formidable teacher that is constantly placing you in front of yourself at every instant in every moment. It is the alarm that warns you that there is something beyond self-pity, passive condescension, depression, negligent self-justification.

This is the great inescapable responsibility and the more you run away from them trying to seek any form of temporary gratification, it will only serve to delay and postpone the inevitable; Assume that it is only in your hand to stop this war because you alone are its genesis.

This is not about assumptions, ideologies, beliefs of any kind or human desires. This is about assuming that PEACE, with capital letters, is beyond the mind, beyond the body, beyond any thought. This UNDERSTANDING is the great LOVE that lives within each person and that will lead you away from your own destruction resulting from your uncertainty and ignorance.

I opened the door
and your Presence entered
like a sword,
