Write your own ideal prayer

Here's mine...

Sacred is this very moment
May we greet it with joy and gratitude
May we dance in harmony with our other-selves
And accept the honor/responsibility
Of struggle and discomfort
On the way to spiritual growth,
Self-understanding and self-acceptance,
And loving service towards all.
In each moment may we find love
And the face of the One Infinite Creator
All around us, within and without
Having faith that each new catalyst
Has been arranged by Infinite Wisdom
For our growth and awakening.
May we purify our hearts
Realizing the will of God within us
In perfect alignment with the good of all,
The desire for each and every being to flourish
Burning within us, bright as the central sun of creation.
May the majesty of the One Infinite Creator
And the beauty of all creation
Shine brightly in the eyes of my soul
Now and always

Hi..  I changed the Our Father.  It never made sense to me as a kid. But this way works....for me.

  Our father who art in heaven
Hail be thy name I Am.
   I call forth thy kingdom come and
Thy will to be done,  here on earth
as it is in heaven.
   I call upon you to give us each this day to
Awaken on to, to remember and to love
and connect to you.
   I call upon you to forgive, dissolve and transmute
all of our errors in thought, feeling, energy and activity.
   As you would have us and help us forgive dissolve and transmute all such errors done against us by anybody or anything on any level.
   I call upon you to free us from the temptations of the outer mind, the ego and the carnal self.
And to deliver us now and continuously from everything unlike thee.

Ah ha! Awesome! Funny you mention that, I've been thinking about something similar lately, basically doing the prayer as it is but instead of in the needy "please make this happen" mode, in the grateful and glorying in the fact that it is already happening mode. Also, with trespasses I add "as we forgive OURSELVES"

@microvirus6.  Nice!  I agree. Changing the wording so it's more of an affirmation of what is instead of "needy" mode.  Also 'trespasses'.  I had to get rid of that word. Can't help thinking, as I did as a kid,  that to trespass meant to cut across someone else's property when walking home from school. Oooowww.  ...giggle.   Good stuff!

@Brahman.   I like the salutation prayer. Like having a big toast to all good things.
