Today in Sunnī Islam music is forbidden as it is written in strict Quran verses that it comes from the Devil... Believe it or not but this is also a reality for some people in some places on Earth. They cannot listen anything else resembling as music than the song of the muezzin. And heavy penalties are issued if someone is found guilty of this crime...
